What is Diagnostics Service and who is it for?

Battersea Healthcare CIC is now the lead provider for the Diagnostics Services across Wandsworth area.

The Diagnostics Services include Phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram (ECG), Spirometry, and 24hr ABPM (24hr Blood Pressure Monitoring)

The aim of the services is to provide the treatment close to your home and to minimise the need for you to be referred to the hospital for those services.

The Diagnostics Services are for patients whose GP surgery is within Wandsworth area.

What is the referral process?

Your GP will decide whether you need any of the diagnostic tests depending on your health state.

If you need an appointment, it is very likely to be booked at your home surgery, however if your Surgery is not able to provide a specific treatment, the contract allows for Buddying process.

The Buddying process means you can be seen for your treatment at a different surgery (within Wandsworth area), to avoid referring you to hospital and waiting long for the appointment. The results will be submitted to your surgery for your GP to review them.
