In 2013, we applied to Health Education England (HEE) to become a Community Education Provider Network (CEPN) to use the strength of our relationship with our practices to secure training funding and opportunities for all Wandsworth primary care staff. We have gathered practice demographic information and assessed training needs in conjunction with the CCG to provide HEE with much needed local information.
This enabled us to secure funding and to provide training for supervisors and non-clinical practice staff to enable practices to achieve better performance in the CCG’s long-term conditions local enhanced service Planning all Care Together (PACT). Further funding was secured for a practice nurse backfill project, to ensure busy practice nurses could access training.
As a CEPN we will provide education and training to budget and specification to support continuing professional development for all community based personnel. We have extensive knowledge of the local market and training requirements and will provide planned training for undergraduate and postgraduate needs.
